ACH: ACH Debits

ACH debits are agreed-upon beforehand, by both parties. There is, of course, some cyber-paperwork involved. Once the agreement is in place, the pre-programmed payments are sent automatically.
ACH Debits are Automatic
The dark side of ACH debits rears its head when, for example, you are arrears on your taxes. It is then possible that the IRS will use ACH debits technology to take what it wants directly from your bank account. This may not be agreed-upon by both parties, but the one with the upper hand is You-Know-Who!
By and large, however, ACH debits are mutually satisfying time-and-hassle-savers. Theyre just part of the perks of hooking up with the ACH network. Its a good thing, honest! (Just dont abuse it.)
